Movie Review: “Enola Holmes 2”

After successfully solving a crime in the first movie, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown), opens her own detective agency.

But……being a young woman in the late 1800’s…..makes it hard to succeed in your own business.

After giving it a good try…..Enola decides to end her business.

As she was packing up her stuff in boxes, in walks a young “matchstick” (meaning she works at the factory that makes matches) girl who needs Enola to find her “sister”, Sarah Chapman (Hannah Dodd), who is now missing.

Accepting the job, Enola does it for free and starts her investigation by becoming a matchstick girl herself. Looking for clues, Enola explores the offices at the factory and interviews people at the other jobs that Sarah was working.

Along the way, Enola visits her brother, Sherlock (Henry Cavill), to see what he is working on and to tell him about the job she just picked up.

He finds it interesting and offers to help…..as does Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), Edith (Susan Wokoma), and her mom, Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter).

The whole gang, minus a very busy, Mycroft, is back! 🙂

When Enola finds finds shocking evidence, murders and intrigue…..

Oh, to find out what happens you can watch this movie on Netflix.

“Enola Holmes 2” is a fast-paced, super fun, murder mystery that weaves fact (Sarah Chapman was a real person) with fiction and, surprisingly marks the beginning of the Sherlock story as we meet Moriority (no spoilers so I can’t tell you who it is) and Dr. Watson (ditto).
