Re-watched “Enchanted” to get ready for watching “Disenchanted” next week on Disney+. We took Kristen and Carol to see this in the movies in 2007. Memories.
Giselle (Amy Adams) is dreaming about meeting the love of her life.
In the animated land of Andalasia, Giselle is a friend of many animals and is very happy, except for missing true love’s kiss.
As it so happens, Prince Edward (James Marsden) is travelling through the enchanted forest while himself yearning for true love’s kiss.
Then…..Edward hears Giselle singing…..meets her…….and they fall in love.
On the day of their marriage, the evil Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon) decides that Giselle is a threat to her crown and pushes her into the well.
The well leads to…..New York City……where Giselle finds out that the real-world is not all roses and song.
Luckily, she meets a nice lawyer (so much to say about that..:-)), Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey), who offers her a place to stay.

“Enchanted” is a classic fantasy from 2007 with both animated and live action characters. It is fun, fast, and action packed. The power of true love’s kiss saves the day!
It’s fun watching for homages to many other Disney classics. For example, I now know what Noelle was doing when she was singing out the window.
