The Clade family, in particular, Jaeger (Dennis Quaid) and his son Searcher (Jake Gyllenhaal), are famous in the land of Avalonia as great explorers.
Avalonia is surrounded by impenetrable mountains, and the people of Avalonia think that there is a better world beyond those mountains.
But no one has been able to reach the other side……
One day Jaeger, Searcher, and a team of explorers decide to finally scale the mountains to reach the other side, but, on the way…….
Searcher finds a unique plant that is electrically charged and he, and the other younger explorers, feel that this plant could help Avalonia more than whatever lies on the other side of the mountains.
Jaeger stubbornly disagrees and he stomps off the find the other side of the mountains while the kids take the plant home….
25 years later
Searcher is now married to Meridian (Gabrielle Union) and they have a teenage son, Ethan (Jaboukie Young-White). Searcher is farming the electrically charged plant that Avalonians all use for power.
Life is good, until the plant starts dying…….
A team is put together, led by Avalonia’s leader, Callisto Mal (Lucy Liu), to save the plant!

“Strange World” is a fun action-packed adventure with several important messages about how we treat other people, and our planet. The animation is top notch and the story is never boring.
And the twist…..is amazing, but, you have to THINK to understand it.
Lots of non-thinking haters only watch the trailer, and with their deep rooted, or recently learned, hatred of the LGBTQ community, people of color, and short-sighted views on…climate change (for example)……these imbeciles have no clue as to what is really going on in the movie…..and don’t bother to watch it to find out.
Unfortunately, the haters lead the way with hate, and others seem to follow.
Don’t be a non-thinking follower! Be different: Think for yourself!
