Movie Review: “Avatar: The Way of Water”

Fourteen or so years ago

Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) killed the maniacal military leader of the RDA, Colonel Quaritch (Stephen Lang), and Pandora was at peace once again.

Now

Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is a full-fledged Nav’i and he and Neytiri have a family of their own, all pretty much teenagers and all helping dad raid the mining operations that still exist on Pandora. Why?

Overall, Jake thinks they are peaceful (he is wrong) and that……

WTF?

Here come the people from a dying Earth once again, and guess who the leader is? Yup, Quaritch (now reincarnated as a Nav’i)…..and he wants REVENGE on Jake Sully and his family.

And he will stop at nothing, including killing innocent Nav’i, animals, and plants, to kill one person in his rage driven mentally ill mind:

Sully must die!

Well…..

Oh, to see what happens you can watch this on your fav streamer or on Disney+ like we did, in glorious 4k UHD on our HUGE 65 inch screen, with clean bathrooms, and cheese and crackers! AND we took TWO nights to watch it! 🙂

No need, and no desire, to go to a theater!

“Avatar: The Way of Water” is a terrible movie (completely remaking the original plot) but with utterly fantastic special effects.

The original “Avatar” was a stunning, ground-breaking, movie that changed movie making forever……I guess Cameron decided not to mess with success and duplicated the original movie here, but, with more modern special effects.

Too bad…..

And guess what?

There are three more Avatar duplicates (triplicates?) to go!

Ending finally in 2031 when Zoe says she will be 53!
