“Les Miserables” Movie Review

Anne Hathaway’s solo that is heard (and seen briefly) in the trailer above is simply…BREATHTAKING.   Absolutely BREATHTAKING.  I was in tears, not from the sadness of the song, but, by the stunning performance of a truly talented actress…one that should get her an Oscar.

les miserables“Les Miserables” is unique, Broadway worthy, movie entertainment.

Who knew that Hugh Jackman (as Jean Valjean) and Russell Crowe (as Javert) could sing as spectacularly as they do.   We already knew that Amanda Seyfried (Cosette) and Anne Hathaway (as Fantine) could sing, but, WOW….there is another level of accomplishment that was reached by these actors that, pure and simple, takes your BREATH AWAY.

Do not miss it….a MUST see.  There may never be another movie with the breadth of character and quality of acting / singing seen and heard in “Les Miserables”.  If this movie does not garner multiple Oscars, I will be shocked.

Unbelievably stupendous / unique movie.

Don’t forget the rest of the stellar cast, including Sacha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks, and Daniel Huttlestone….who ALL provide us with the performances of a lifetime (and yes, that includes Borat and Bellatrix).

Not for small kids (too violent), but teens might like it.  Watch for a “Bad Santa” like scene, which is hilarious.

For more information, go to IMDb.  We watched this at the Tracy, CA CineMark where our poster is STILL UP!
