(Snooze Worthy Relationship Angst)

Nick Vaughn (Chris Evans) is hanging out in Grand Central Station playing his trumpet. He is avoiding going to a party where his ex-girlfriend is.
As Grand Central is closing (it closes? that must be new) a woman runs by Nick and drops (and breaks) her cell phone. Brooke Dalton (Alice Eve) narrowly misses her train to Boston and, since her purse was stolen, she has no money, no ID, and no idea what to do. But, she really needs to get back to Boston to save her marriage.
Nick returns her broken phone to her, and clings to her the rest of the evening. He is a nice guy and tries to help her figure out a way to get back to Boston before her cheating husband returns home to see the note she left him.
“Before We Go” was produced and directed by Chris Evans. It is quiet, slow (OMG…only 36 minutes since it started?) and deliberate, yet, confusing. Capt America gone mushy….
Lori’s quote at the end tells it all: “Stick to acting, Chris”.
