“The Secret Life of Pets 2” Movie Review and Trailer

Fun Movie to Stream while waiting for the world to settle down. This one is on Amazon Prime, I think. 🙂

Max (Patton Oswalt) and Duke (Eric Stonestreet) are happily living their life with Katie (Ellie Kemper) glad that they are not bothered by kids!

On the way home from the park…..Max and Duke’s lives change forever as Katie runs into Chuck (Pete Holmes). They fall instantly in love, get married, and have Liam (Henry Lynch).

Yikes!

A couple years pass and Liam gets older and falls in love with Max and Duke. Life is good again when the family decides to head to the country on vacation.

Here is where the plot diverges into three:

Plot #1

Max is stressed out and afraid of everything (the world is tough as he tries his best to protect Liam). In the country they meet Rooster (Han Solo….err, Harrison Ford) who helps Max get his act together.

Plot #2

Max left Gidget (Jenny Slate) in charge of his beloved toy. Gidget loses it in a neighbors apartment filled with hundreds of cats and Gidget needs help to get the toy back.

Plot #3

Daisy (Tiffany Haddish) meets a circus tiger (Hu) on a plane flight. After landing, she sees Hu being abused by the owner of the circus. Vowing to help Hu, Daisy recruits the help of super hero Snowball (Kevin Hart) to save him.

All three plots collide when a braver, more secure, Max and still goofy Duke return home from vacation.

To see what happens, you will have to see the movie.

“The Secret Life of Pets 2” is a fun, very colorful, sometimes hilarious sequel…..if not quite as good as the original but it is still a great family movie to rent. 🙂
