Sonic (Ben Schwartz) has special powers and his protector Longclaw (Donna Jay Fulks) tells him he must stay hidden.
On his planet, Sonic can’t help but go for a run. When he is returns home, he and Longclaw are attacked by creatures who want his power.
Using her rings, Longclaw sends Sonic to earth to a small town in Montana….so he would be safe.
10 years later
Sonic is a myth in that small Montana town. The only person who has seen him is Crazy Carl (Frank C. Turner) and the townspeople think, well, that Carl is crazy.
One day, a lonely Sonic flips out and runs rings around a baseball field. Hi immense power takes down the electrical grids in the entire western U.S.
Yikes!
The U.S. Government is afraid of a terrorist attack and locates the source of the power surge. Their only choice is to send evil Ph.D. genius Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Jim Carrey) to investigate the source of the power surge.
In the meantime, policeman Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). thinks he found the raccoons that have been in his garbage when he accidentally tranquilizes Sonic…..

Robotnik, Wachowski, and Sonic’s worlds collide and…..well, you will have to watch the movie to see what happens. 🙂
“Sonic the Hedgehog” is exactly what I hoped it would be: A FUN movie from beginning to end. Seeing Jim Carrey again is a special treat, he has not changed a bit and his comic skills are a blast to watch.
The kids in the audience LOVED it as did the adults. 🙂
