Fun Movie to Stream while waiting for the world to settle down. This one is on Amazon Prime.
At 47 years old, Brad Sloan (Ben Stiller), is questioning his life as he and his talented musician son Troy (Austin Abrams) embark on a tour of the east coast to visit colleges.
All of Brad’s friends from college are super successful, rich, and happy (he knows this because he follows them on Facebook) while he is a poor non-profit director just eeeking by in lowly Sacramento, CA.
It doesn’t matter that Troy and Brad’s wife Melanie (Jenna Fischer) both love him and love the life they lead.
Nope…..Brad is miserable thinking of how shitty his life is and how much of a failure he turned out to be.
Making things worse, Brad has day-dreams of how he could be just like his friends: Walking on the beach with beautiful coeds, jetting away on vacation in his private jet, or……well you get the point.
Brad is really messed up.
Then…..
Oh, to see what happens you will have to watch the movie. 😉
“Brad’s Status” is a coming of age movie about a man who questions his choices in life, his values, and ultimately his value to the world.
My advice: Get over it, Brad. Your life is fine and get off of Facebook. 🙂
