“Feel the Beat” Movie Review and Trailer

April (Sofia Carson) is from a small town in Wisconsin…..and, now, dances on Broadway.

Heading to a very important audition for a lead dancer gig in a Broadway play, Sofia grabs a cab leaving an older woman behind to get soaked in the pouring rain.

Ooops…..

It turns out, that that older woman is very powerful force on Broadway as well as being a total ass, so, even though April is probably the best dancer at the audition…..the asshole has made up her mind to ruin April’s life.

And she does.

April, with no work, and seemingly no future in New York, heads back to her hometown, where she meets her old dance instructor, Miss Barb (Donna Lynne Champlin), who invites April back to the dance studio to meet the girls.

April, nasty attitude and all, reluctantly goes to the studio where she meets the kids including the sisters of her ex-boyfriend, Nick (Wolfgang Novogratz), who she dumped via text before heading to NYC to pursue her dream.

She gets the cold shoulder from the sisters….and all the dancers for that matter.

Miss Barb asks April if she can train her dancers to enter a contest in a few days, with the hopes of reaching the finals in Atlantic City, NJ if they do really well….

April decides…..

Oh….to see what happens, you can stream the movie on Netflix. 🙂

“Feel the Beat” is a fun, lighthearted, movie that is badly needed right now.
