Movie Review: “The Tommorow War”

Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) is happily married to Emmy (Betty Gilpin).

Together they have a very smart 9 year old girl, Muri (Ryan Kiera Armstrong).

Dan is interviewing for a lab job (he has a Ph.D in Biology,) but, for now he is teaching high school biology. Unfortunately, it does not look like he is going to get his “dream” job. By the way……Dan is not only smart, but, he is also a trained soldier, and a good one, as he was in the Army Special Forces.

A talented guy, but, maybe not talented enough.

But….the world is good this Christmas… they settle in with friends to watch a soccer match on TV.

Suddenly……that good world changes to shit, as visitors from 30 years in the future, apparate onto the soccer field to announce that humans are being defeated by aliens, and that they need help from their parents and grandparents (who are all….30 years from now…..dead) to fight for the survival of the human race.

Being taken to the future, Dan meets a hardy bunch of fighters and thinkers to fight to work togehter to try to figure out how to kill the aliens.

Chief among the military personnel in charge of the “Research” Division is……

Colonel Muri Forester (Yvonne Strahovsky)……his daughter!

Anyway, in 2051, father and daughter work in the lab together developing an injectable toxin that…….

Muri and the vaccine toxin in 2051

Oh, to see what happens you can watch this movie on Amazon Prime. 😉

“The Tomorrow War” is a thrilling action / fantasy movie that will leave you breathless and, scarily……..dreaming about those damn aliens!

Great fun, great plot, and great casting.
