Barb (Annie Mumolo) and Star (Kristen Wiig) have lived their whole lives in a small midwestern town. They have not even seen the ocean!
They are also single and in their late 40’s (Barb’s husband passed away and Star’s just left her), and afraid that they are just fading away in life.
One day, while sitting in their favorite couch where they work (a furniture store) and talking (which they do a lot of) they find out that the store is closing…and that they are now out of work!
Wondering what to do, they decide to take a trip to Vista Del Mar in Florida, where they can sip drinks on the beach, meet a guy or two, ride on a banana boat, and generally get a “mental douche” and get wasted.
Sounds like fun!
Until…….they have to stop a mass murder by Sharon Gordon Fisherman (Kristen Wiig) and her henchmen: Edgar (Jamie Dornan) and Yoyo (Reyn Doi)……
Then all hell breaks loose and……..

“Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar” is a weird AF movie that is super funny, super scary, and super WEIRD! The weirdest characters, besides Barb and Star, include a singing and dancing killer (Dornan), speedo guy (Ernesto Godoy), Trish (Reba McEntire), Tommy Bahama (Andy Garcia), and my favorite, Morgan Freemond the Crab (excellently voiced by Josh Robert Thompson).
