“Lilo & Stitch” Movie Review

Experiment 626 is banned to a watery planet where he will probably drown due to his mass increasing dramatically in water.

That planet is Earth.

Lilo (Maia Kealoha) and her older sister Nani (Sydney Agudong) are struggling to make a living, keep the house, and stay fed and healthy after the deaths of their parents.

Lilo desperately wants a friend and seeing a shooting star (actually a spaceship crashing) she wishes for her new friend.

Experiment 626 became that friend even though Stitch (Chris Sanders) (as she named Experiment 626) nearly breaks up the small family that she and her sister have together with his wild antics.

But Ohana means everyone in the family is loved, no matter what.

Then……

Oh, to see what happens you can watch either the 2002 animated movie or this 2025 live action version on Disney+. 🙂

Note: We went on a tour at DisneyWorld back in the dark ages where we talked to people working on a new movie….”Lilo & Stitch”. I wrote those words down on a piece of paper (still on our bulletin board!!!) and, a couple of years later, 2002, we watched it in the movies! THAT was interesting and very cool.

“Lilo & Stitch” the 2025 live version is not as magical as the animated version (since we had that connection to that 2002 movie), but, it is good for the whole family and quite fun. Elvis rocks!
