15 years ago Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) was taken from his jungle home and brought to America where he met, and fell in love with, Linda (Leslie Mann).

As Linda grew up, Blu and Linda were inseparable.

Owning a bookstore: The Blue Macaw…..Linda and Blu lived a happy uneventful life in Minnesota.

Then one day a very strange man, Ornithologist Tulio (Rodrigo Santoro), entered the bookstore telling Linda that Blu is the last male blue macaw left in the world, and that he has the only remaining female, Jewel (Anne Hathaway).

Tulio convinces Linda that she and Blu need to travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to help him save the blue macaw species.

“Rio” is a terrific family friendly movie with lots of heart, a good bit of action, and wonderful, very colorful, animation.
