Movie Review: “Prom Pact”

Senior year of high school has arrived!

Environmental activist and staunch feminist, Mandy Yang (Peyton Elizabeth Lee), has applied to her dream college, Harvard, and is just waiting for her acceptance.

Mandy’s best friend, Ben Plunkett (Milo Manheim), is wondering if life is passing them by as they have never participated in any of the fun things high school has to offer (parties, sports, school functions, etc). Heck, even their best friends Zenobia (Arica Himmel) and Charles (Jason Sakaki) go to parties and have fun!

Not Mandy and Ben, as they have their own routine (Note: This was also our routine….exactly….when the girls were young): Friday nights they go to the bookstore, then a movie, then they go out to eat waffles.

In fact, while they were eating waffles one night, they make a pact to take each other to the Prom.

Ben has a secret crush on LaToya (Monique A. Green) and Mandy thinks the most popular jock in high school, Graham Lansing (Blake Draper), is a privileged Neaderthal.

When Mandy finds out that she has been wait-listed at Harvard, she and Ben hatch a plan to get her accepted.

Then……

Oh, to see what happens you can watch this movie on Disney+. 🙂

“Prom Pact” is a terrific, super fun, coming-of-age movie good for the whole family! It is both laugh-out-loud funny and heartwarming…..with a great cast of kids…..and Margaret Cho rocks as the school counselor!

We LOVED it!
