Read Caitlin’s application essay here. congratulates Caitlin Dong, Tracy High IB student with a 4.52 GPA(!!!), for being the winner of the $1000 2011 Carol Phan College Scholarship!  🙂

Caitlin submitted an outstanding essay (“My Passion for Dance & How It’s Changed”) describing her passion for dance, and the effort she and her friend put into a dance program for little girls last summer.  The essay was extremely well written, very detailed (including the little things that can go wrong), and included really cool photographs of their summer dance experience.  The judges said stuff like “Wow!  Captured my attention.”  “Very well done” , “Very good.  Loved it!  Thought it really honored Carol”, and “Excellent writing and obvious passion for the subject of the essay”.

Caitlin will be attending U.C. Berkeley in the Fall.  Her major is “undeclared” but she is leaning towards, possibly,  Business.

We have NO DOUBT she will do well.

Drive Safe!  Never Forget.
