Lauren (Miranda Tapsell) and Ned’s (Gwilym Lee) lives are about to change.
Lauren just landed a huge account at work and is promoted to associate!
Ned quit his job!
At home that night, Ned asks Lauren to marry him.
She accepts and they decide on a quick wedding in Darwin, where Lauren is from.
They have 10 days!
Arriving in Darwin they find Lauren’s dad, Trevor (Huw Higginson), depressed and sitting in closets listening to a sad Chicago song.
Turns out…..his wife (and Lauren’s mum), Daffy (Ursula Yovich), has just left him!
Well….you can’t have a wedding without mum…soooooo Lauren and Ned set off on an adventure to find mum, and what they find is…….

“Top End Wedding” is a fun, quirky, romcom filmed in beautiful Australia. “Top End” (I think) refers to the location of Darwin at the top end of Australia. Great cast, spectacular scenery, interesting aboriginal culture, and…..Miranda and Gwilym are terrific together. 🙂
