When she was young and living in London, Donna (Allison Janney), married a handsome French gentleman, Henrique (Isaach De Bankole).
They had a child, Eloise (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), but, alas…..all was not to be as Henrique became more interested in 25 year old women!
Donna moved on to a more stable man in the United States. They had two kids, Alice (Kristen Bell) and Paul (Ben Platt).
The kids got along fine while they were kids, but, as they got older…..the family separated as Eloise went back to London (with a sizable inheritance) and Donna, Alice, and Ben moved to different parts of the United States where they struggled to make a living……and hardly talked.
Until…..they all got a wedding invitation from Eloise!

“The People We Hate at the Wedding” is a raunchy, quirky, fun, romcom with LOTS of f-words, sex, hate, fighting, but…….ultimately……love.
