Movie Review: “Lyle Lyle Crocodile”

Hector P. Valenti (Javier Barden) has dreams of becoming a star.

Unfortunately, his act is passe and after he was booted from his latest audition, he was told he needed something they have never seen before.

Walking home to his family’s brownstone in New York City, Hector goes into an exotic animal store to look around, when he hears singing in the back.

Investigating…..Hector finds a baby crocodile singing in his cage! Wow!

Hector adopts Lyle (Shawn Mendes) and as Lyle grows up the two become a singing duo…..in the brownstone.

When the time came to sing in front of an audience….Lyle freezes….and Hector’s dreams go up in smoke. Depressed and needing money Hector leaves promising to be back shortly…..

18 Months Later

The Primm family: Dad (Scoot McNairy), Cookbook author Mom (Constance Wu), and son Josh (Winslow Fegley) move into the brownstone (which is now owned by the school where Mr. Primm is teaching Math).

Lyle, Josh

Then……Josh meets Lyle…….and……

Mom, Lyle, Hector, Josh, Dad

Oh, to find out what happens you can watch this movie on Netflix. 🙂

“Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” is a fun, heartwarming, family movie with lots of singing (Mendes is amazing!), action, and heart-tugging sentiments.

Loved it!
