“The Map of Tiny Perfect Things” Movie Review

Mark (Kyle Allen) is reliving the same day over and over and over again for what he thinks will be forever.

He knows every situation, every person he runs into, when to grab an empty cup and throw it in the moving garbage truck, when to stop a guy walking from getting pooped on…..well, you get the idea.

He tries everyday to get Phoebe (Anna Mikami) to go out with him….nope. He talks with his best friend, Henry (Jermaine Harris), while Henry plays a video game….and dies everytime the same way.

One day, while trying to “save” Phoebe from falling into the pool, Margaret (Kathryn Newton), walks by and saves her first.

WTF????

Mark follows Margaret and the two find out that they are the only two people who know what is happening, and yes, they are both repeating the same day, forever.

Mark, Margaret, and the Map of Tiny Perfect Things

Mark and Margaret have a deep discussion in the ice cream shop when they have an idea: To map out the location and time for every special thing life has to offer for that day. For example, when the eagle grabs the fish out of the lake, when people stop traffic to let a turtle cross the street, when a man sitting on a bench gets his wings, when a janitor plays piano……all the tiny perfect things that life has to offer.

Using this map, the two eventually……

Oh, to see what happens, you will have to watch the movie on Amazon Prime.

“The Map of Tiny Perfect Things” is an interesting romance fantasy that uses and old plotline (repeat the same day) in a somewhat unique way. The ending is heartwarming, and sad, but nice.
