Ten year old Flora (Matilda Lawler) loves following superheroes in the comics and movies. Unfortunately, Flora now knows that superheroes do not exist in real-life.
Flora loves the superheroes developed by her father, George (Ben Schwartz), who is depressed because his comics are constantly being turned down by publishers. In fact, after the last rejection, George leaves his family and picks up a job at a local store. His comic book writing days are now behind him. 😦
After George leaves, Flora’s mother Phyllis (Alyson Hannigan), a very successful romance novelist develops writers block.
Flora’s world is crumbling….if only a superhero would swoop in and save the day, and the family.
Looking out the window, Flora sees the neighor chasing her run-away vacuum cleaner. Rushing to help, Flora sees a squirrel get sucked up by the vacuum.
Yikes!
Rushing to save the squirrel, Flora brings him back to life and nurses him back to health.
It is then that Fora finds out that “Ulysses” the squirrel is……
Oh, to find out what happens, you will have to watch the movie on Disney+. 🙂
“Flora & Ulysses” is a fun family oriented movie about life, family, and…..superheroes….who may not be just in the comics or movies.
