Movie Review: “Dog”

Army Ranger, Jackson Briggs (Channing Tatum), is on medical leave after being wounded in combat. He has suffered brain damage which leaves him with migranes and stress induced seizures.

Jackson thinks he is ready to go back on active duty, and his Captain is willing to give it a try…..on one condition.

Jackson must bring a dead Army Ranger’s combat dog, Lulu, to his funeral in Arizona by Sunday. If Jackson completes that task, his Captain will go to bat for him to try to get back on active duty.

Easy as 3.14, right?

Jackson, Lulu

Lulu is a trained killer and is having stress issues of her own. She has put three handlers in the hospital, refuses to get on a plane, and must be driven, and controlled, for the the ride to Arizona.

Road trip!

“Dog” is an excellent movie about two combat veterans learning how to get along with each other and the new world (civilian life with new disabilities) they find themselves living in.

In the end they……oh, I’ll let the featured picture above spoil it. 🙂
