Movie Review: “Mrs Harris Goes to Paris”

13 years after her husband was declared missing in WW II, Ada Harris (Lesley Manville) is making a living as a house cleaner.

Mrs. Harris is a good person as she always helps people without asking for anything in return.

One day, while cleaning a non-paying clients house, Mrs. Harris sees a dress that she absolutely falls in love with. That dress is made by Christian Dior and Mrs. Harris vows, then and there, to get a Dior dress of her own!

Picking up extra work and saving every penny, Mrs. Harris almost has enough to travel to Paris and buy a Dior dress of her very own.

Then she bets all her savings on a greyhound to win……he loses……and Mrs. Harris loses everything she has been saving.

We watched it on Google Play.

“Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” is an “old-time” movie (think Katherine Hepburn) that is heartwarming and a lot of fun….assuming you are over, like, 60 years old. 🙂
