Space Rangers Buzz Lightyear (Chris Evans) and Alisha Hawthorne (Uzo Aduba) wake up from stasis to land their spacecraft on a planet far far from home.
Trying to get off that planet, the spaceship crashes, stranding Buzz and Alisha and the hundreds of sleeping scientists who now must all work together to fix the spaceship so they can go home.
One year later, the spaceship is ready for it’s first test flight. It should take Buzz only 4 minutes to complete the test, but, it takes 4 years!
Since he was travelling at nearly the speed of light, Buzz hardly aged while everyone on the planet aged 4 years.
After multiple tries, Buzz is still a young man, while Alisha had a family, the family grew up, and a grand-daughter, Izzy, was born.
Then Alisha got very old and passed away.
But, Alisha left Buzz a robotic cat, SOX (Peter Sohn), to help him for the rest of his life.
Buzz’s last trip was, finally, successful, but, he returns 22 years later to a changed planet and a grown up Izzy (Keke Palmer), and her team of misfits: Mo (Taika Waititi) and Darby (Dale Soules).
Together……this unlikely team…….fights the evil Zurg (James Brolin)……and…..

“Lightyear” is a terrific movie! Action packed with not a second of down time to move from the edge of my seat! I loved it! (Except that coils are inductance not capacitance…..but, who’s counting? 😉
