Sam (Eva Noblezada) is aging out of the girls home she has been living in since she was a child.
Sam never found her forever family.
But Sam’s roomate, Hazel (Adelynn Spoon), is still young and hopeful of finding her forever family. In fact, all she needs to round out her box of lucky charms is a lucky penny.
Even though she has to leave, Sam wants to make sure that Hazel has better luck than she did and is determined to find good luck for Hazel.
Eating a sandwhich on the street, Sam feeds a hungry black cat, Bob (Simon Pegg) half the sandwhich, and finds a lucky penny that Bob left behind.
