After her grandmother (Popo) passed away, Lia (Shuang Hu) left her hometown for Sydney and opened a traditional Chinese tea shop (Popo’s Tea Time) with the help of her best friend, Mason (Ilai Swindells).
Unfortunately, the world wants bubble tea and does not understand, nor want, the traditional tea offered (stubbornly) by Lia.
As such, on the eve of her sisters wedding, Lia has to travel home and face her family, with the dread that they will find out the truth:
Her tea shop is failing.
At the pre-wedding dinner, a fortune teller tells Lia that one of her next five dates will be her “soulmate” and when she finds him, her business will thrive.
The family sets out to find Lia the perfect “soulmate” and…….
