Born in the wild, a beautiful black filly (Kate Winslet) is not happy to be restricted by the herds leaders.
One day, she wanders far and wide where humans see her. The next day, she realizes her mistake as the humans rounded up the herd and put them in temporary corrals, losing her mother in the process.
While many of the herd are taken to points unknown, luckily, for her, a kindly man, John Manly (Iain Glen), visits the corral after driving from a New York stable.
He purchases the feisty filly and after a very long trip back to New York, she is placed in a nice stable, is introduced to new friends, and has beautiful grounds to run in. Still in mourning, she resists the efforts of John to “partner” her, and may be sold.

After the death of her parents, Jo Green (Mackenzie Foy), is forced by the state to live with her only living relative….John.
In mourning and bitter, Jo names the beautiful black filly she is bonding with: Black Beauty.
Jo and Beauty find true love, and everything is, finally, wonderful…..until the fire….
After that, the whole world changes…

“Black Beauty” is a sweet, heartwarming, story of a girl and a horse. Each goes thru unimaginable hardship but their love endures. Beautiful scenery and Mackenzie Foy, Iain Glen, and Kate Winslet are fantastic. Good for the whole family even though there are some very sad parts, so have tissue handy.
