“Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” Movie Review

Journey, Jeronicus

Jeronicus Jangle (Forest Whitaker) was the world’s most prolific inventor. He could see the formulas in the air and had a notebook full of great inventions just waiting for him to have time to get to them.

Unfortunately, Jeronicus’s apprentice, Gustafson (Keegan-Michael Key) was not as talented. After Jeronicus’s latest invention, an arrogant greedy puppet, Don Juan Diego (Ricky Martin), came to life, Gustafson stole….errr, borrowed, the notebook of inventions.

Jeronicus was devastated by the theft and his creative flame went out. He closed his toy store, stopped inventing, and opened a pawnshop. Years later, his daughter, Jessica (Anika Noni Rose) left and had a daughter of her own, Journey (Madalen Mills), who was as brilliant as her grandfather.

Meanwhile, Gustafson became the worlds greatest, most famous, and richest toy maker, but, the ideas in the notebook ran out, and Gustafson wanted more. And the only way he could get more ideas was to, once again, steal.

This Christmas, Journey figured out a way to meet her grandfather with the approval of her mother, and when she arrived at Jeronicus’s pawnshop….

Magic happened.

To see the magic, you will have to watch the movie on Netflix.

“Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” is a fantastic Christmas movie filled with intrigue, magic, singing, and, dancing. In fact, the (absolutely fantastic) singing and dancing reminded me of a Broadway show, and, interestingly enough, there are several Broadway stars in this movie. 🙂

Must see this holiday season, if only to forget about…..oh, hmmmm, I forgot what I was going to say. Oh well…. 🙂

Drive Safe! Never Forget.

More Christmas movies and trailers….enjoy.
