Movie Review: “The Christmas Chronicles 2”

Picking up a couple of years after “The Christmas Chronicles”, Kate (Darby Camp), Teddy (Judah Lewis) and their mom, Claire (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) are vacationing in Mexico courtesy of Claire’s new boyfriend, Bob (Tyrese Gibson). Bob’s young son Jack (Jahzir Bruno) is also there.

Kate and the whole Pierce family are still true believers even though they lost Dad in the last movie.

Evil elf (now human), Belsnickel (Julian Dennison), is planning to get back at Santa Claus (Kurt Russell) and Mrs. Claus (Goldie Hawn) for being, well…..adults who loved him. Teenagers! Gotta love them.

But to get into Santa’s Village….errr, Mrs. Claus’s Village…..Belsnickel needs the help of a true believer.

He picks Kate, who is not happy with her mom dating and forgetting about her dad, and wants to leave paradise anyway.

Belsnickel kidnaps Kate and Jack and sends them via a magic portal to the North Pole!

That’s when all the fun begins, as Belsnickel raises all kinds of trouble with Kate, Jack, Santa, Mr. Claus, and the reindeer all fighting the very clever Belsnickel.

Jack, Mrs. Claus, Kate, Santa

Ultimately……oh……to see what happens you will have to watch the movie on Neflix. 🙂

“The Christmas Chronicles 2” is a fun, fast, exciting movie that, I think is better than the first. Don’t listen to the haters! This is an excellent Christmas movie with great special effects, action, and a message of love and forgiveness.
