“Despicable Me” Movie Review and Trailer

Gru (Steve Carell) is a villian. He thinks he is the best villian in the world, but, well….he is not.

Gru does have a mean streak and a bunch of little yellow friends, Minions, to help him do his dirty work, but, his successes at stealing famous items falls far short of his dreams and expectations.

The biggest news today was that someone stole the Giza Pyramid in Egypt and replaced it with an inflatable look-alike! It was not Gru…..

Vector (Jason Segal) stole the pyramid and has plans for much more as he has a special weapon that Gru needs to complete his next project: To steal the moon.

A shrink gun. Point and shoot and the object of the gun shrinks! Think “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”.

All Gru needs is money, a rocket ship….and the shrink gun.

Gru, Agnes, Margo, Edith

And to help him get the shrink gun, he adopts 3 orphans, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Agnes (Elsie Fisher), who sell cookies that his evil techy guy can make into evil cookie robots, and, Vector LOVES cookies!

It just might work…..

To see what happens you can stream this movie on Netflix.

“Despicable Me” is a long time coming to this house as Lori did not think it would be a good movie. She admits she was wrong! This is a fun kids movie good for the whole family. There is good in everyone, no matter how despicable. Well…..maybe not….but that is the hope.
