Movie Review: “I Used To Be Famous”

Vince (Ed Skrein) was in a boy band and was super famous.

Unfortunately, Vince had to choose between his brother and the band.

He chose his brother.

Vince is still struggling to make money trying to get noticed in bars, or on the street.

Things are not going well, but, Vince keeps trying.

One day, setting up his musical instruments in an alley, Vince is joined by an autistic 18 year old playing the “drums”…….Stevie (Leo Long).

Realizing that there is magic here, Vince follows Stevie and his mom, Amber (Eleanor Matsuura), to church, and a music therapy class for autistic adults.

In that class, Vince discovers some magic of his own (he is really good at teaching music), and connects with Stevie and Amber to form a band: The Tin Men.

Oh, to see what happens you can watch this movie on Netflix.

“I Used To Be Famous” is a heartwarming movie about two (three if you count ex-ballerina, Amber) people working through their own particular life circumstances….together.

Loved it!
