Under this heading we will highlight each years Carol Phan Scholarship recipients. For what it is worth, here is my 2011 Awards Ceremony Speech.
Carol set the bar very high academically and creatively. As such, this is a very difficult scholarship to get. The scholar has to have a 3.5 GPA or better just to submit an application. They have to be accepted to a 4 year university. Their submission is competing with the highest academic achievers and the judges then judge each submission for two simple requirements: The CREATIVITY & QUALITY of their submission as they describe their PASSION.
The scholars that make it to this page are scholars among scholars.
Quite an achievement.
2025 Carol Phan College Scholarship:
Gabriel Banaag
Gabriel Banaag is our 2025 Carol Phan College Scholarship recipient.
Gabriel is planning to attend Las Positas College and will major in Biology.
