When they were teenagers, Bruce (Nick Frost), and his sister Sam (Olivia Colman) were salsa champions.
They won almost every competition they entered until one fateful night when Bruce was attacked and forced to eat the sequins off his salsa shirt.
That night, Bruce quit dancing….
25 years later
Bruce is working in a British engineering firm with colleagues, like Drew (Chris O’Dowd), who know nothing of Bruce’s past.
One day, the new boss arrives, Julia (Rashida Jones).
Drew wants to jump in the sack with Julia and does everything in his power to win her affections. BUT…..Julia takes a liking to the very quiet and unassuming Bruce, and he to her.
Luckily for Bruce, one evening he finds out that Julia is taking salsa lessons, which re-ignites the passion in Bruce……for dance……and romance.
Bruce finds his old mentor, Ron (Ian McShane), for a brush-up lesson to knock off the cob webs, and……

“Cuban Fury” is a low budget movie from 2014 with a great cast, lots of music, and even more dancing. Great fun! Not for kids as the f-word makes several appearances.
In case you are wondering….yes, Simon Pegg makes a cameo, but don’t blink or you will miss him. 🙂
