It’s the early 1960’s (actually you would think it was 2023 by the way the hateful people are behaving), and Iris Deerborne (Kara Hayward) is an outcast in her small town.
Because she is abused by the mean girls in high school and harassed by the dumb-ass boys, Iris is content to be alone. To make her life more difficult, Iris has a bladder issue that earned her the nickname “stinky pants”.
Her only relief is floating in the local pond, at night, where Jeff Owings’s (Lucas Jade Zumann) mother drowned by suicide.
That pond is Iris’s safe private place.
Walking to school one day……the dumb-ass boys, in a car, started harassing Iris when suddenly one of the idiots was hit by a rock…..in the head!
Standing by her car, with rocks, was new arrival (from Kansas City) Maggie Richmond (Liana Liberato)!
